Gypsy | Incense Enfleurage Perfume Balm
What a successful experiment this was! Using a Shea Nilotica Butter base prefixed with Patchouli EO, I elevated the dish upside down on a microwave rack, burning an incense stick underneath. The aim was to have the pomade ‘soak up’ the scented smoke and it worked!
Upon this smokey Balm I then placed layers of wild harvested Freesia, and homegrown Hyacinth, Rose, Dianthus, Lemon Blossom and Native Frangipani, until it was saturated in scent.
Gypsy is multifaceted and long lasting – and a delight!
This solid, enfleurage perfume is a limited edition. Due to the nature of it's making, this scent will never be recreated exactly as it is now. Read more about the ancient extraction method here.
